I planned to stay at the hotel, but the room rates kept increasing every time I checked, so I decided to switch to a lovely bed and breakfast. The rooms needed a better clean than just a vacuum. They were spacious and away from the noisy main road, but the price kept going up, making the B&B a more appealing choice for £70.
Rooms
6.0
The rooms were large and airy, away from the busy main road.
Service
8.0
The staff was very friendly and made us feel welcome. They even provided a trolley to help with our baggage, ensuring a smooth transition from the car to the room.
Location
7.0
The location was just what we needed, with a large accessible room ideal for my wheelchair. It was slightly uphill from Wadebridge town, near a Marstons pub, and accessible despite the basic kettle in the room.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience was not what I expected. I received a box breakfast with basic items like cornflakes and milk, which was overpriced at £10.50. Knowing in advance, I would have preferred booking elsewhere for a better breakfast experience.
Facilities
7.0
The facilities were in good order, with friendly staff and convenient amenities like a vending machine for late-night snacks.

The hotel is in a nice quiet area, perfect for meals, with exceptional value and quality food. The rooms were very noisy next to the road but the added extra bed was comfortable for a night or two. The family room on the ground floor had a view of a very high wall.
Rooms
6.0
The rooms were very noisy next to the road, and the view was limited to a high wall. The additional bed provided was comfortable for short stays.
Service
9.0
The staff were very friendly and accommodating, helping us with our baggage and even allowing us to change rooms. They made us feel welcome.
Location

The hotel is a mile up a hill from Wadebridge, on the Wadebridge by-pass, providing easy access to both the coast and countryside. The area is nice and quiet, opposite a place with exceptional value and quality food for meals.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience was disappointing as we had to eat in our room with limited seating. The box breakfast was overpriced for what was provided.
Facilities

The facilities were lacking, with dining arrangements being subpar.

The hotel offers spacious, clean rooms with comfortable beds and plenty of plush pillows. However, the noise from the road outside was quite disruptive. The service was mostly friendly and helpful, though the early diesel engine starts were a bit loud. The location is excellent for touring the scenic North Cornwall coast, but it is situated a mile up a hill from the town. The dining experience was subpar, as breakfast was served in a box in the room with limited seating. Overall, the facilities were decent, but improvements could be made in noise insulation and dining options.

The hotel was the quietest we've ever been in, with pillows like clouds for two great night sleeps. However, the rooms were too hot to sleep in and could do with a deep clean rather than just a quick vacuum. The price can jump to over £100, as it did last year.
Rooms

The rooms were way too hot to sleep in but offered the softest pillows for a comfy rest.
